History of Steel Fab Enterprises

In 1961, the Fisher family business was started by Steve Fisher, Sr. in a two-car garage in Rawlinsville, PA. Three years later, SS Fisher Welding Company was established and moved into a 3,000 sq ft facility. Growing in leaps and bounds, by the early 1980s the company became a corporation known as SS Fisher Steel Corporation and expanded into a 22,000 sq ft facility. This 22,000 sq ft facility would become Steel Fab Enterprises home and continues to house our everyday operations.

SS Fisher Steel remained in business until 1993 at which point Steve Fisher, Sr. sold it to Steve Powell, who in turn created Powell Steel Corporation. In 1987, Steve Fisher, Sr.'s four children purchased the existing 22,000 square foot building and Steel Fab Enterprises was established as a miscellaneous metals contractor. Steel Fab Enterprises has steadily grown to become one of the largest miscellaneous metals contractors in the central PA area.
